For the 24th consecutive year, DeMayo Law Offices is proud to support local high school seniors through the Arrive Alive® Scholarship Program, awarding ten $5,000 scholarships to help students continue their education while spreading an important message.
Launched in 2003 by attorney Michael A. DeMayo, the Arrive Alive® Scholarship Program was created to help students offset the rising costs of college while raising awareness about the dangers of underage drinking and distracted driving. Underage drinking and distracted driving accidents cause serious issues, that over the years, have deeply impacted families and communities across the Carolinas. What began with five $1,000 scholarships for Mecklenburg County seniors has since grown reaching students across 23 counties in North and South Carolina.
In 2025, the firm proudly awarded 10 high school seniors from multiple counties with $5,000 each. This year, DeMayo Law Offices is once again offering $50,000 in total scholarships to ten deserving students.
Applicants are asked to submit a presentation along with their application encouraging their peers to abstain from drinking and distracted driving. Presentations including essays, billboards, brochures, websites, or music videos, each designed to educate and influence young drivers through peer-to-peer communication will be accepted.
Since the program’s start, DeMayo Law Offices has awarded more than $825,000 in scholarships, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to education and community safety. Eligible students must:
- Be high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or university full-time.
- Reside and attend school in one of the following counties: Mecklenburg, Gaston, Catawba, Union (NC), Cabarrus, Cleveland, Lincoln, Rowan, Caldwell, Stanly, Iredell, Alexander, Burke, Robeson, Scotland, Richmond, Anson, Cumberland, York, Lancaster, Chester, Cherokee, or Chesterfield.
- Submit a completed 2026 Arrive Alive® Scholarship Application Packet by Monday, March 23, 2026.
