Settlement for a client who was injured when he lifted a heavy bag of coins, causing him to rupture a disc in his low back. The client had to have a low back surgery to remove the ruptured disc and to fuse the area of his spine where the disc was removed. The client was unable to return to his job due to lifting restrictions and chronic low back pain (Mecklenburg County, 2014).
